I am a geek girl and I read More Than Fables. I have always been a comics reader, starting with Garfield and Calvin and Hobbs then moving on to X-Force and from there the collection has grown. The title of this blog comes from my days walking into comic shops and having the helpful tellers ask if I was looking for Fables. While I do enjoy that title it’s certainly not the only one I read and the assumption that I was clearly there for the “girly” title or even worse “looking for a gift” gets old pretty quick. More Than Fables is a female driven nerd blog aimed at giving women a safe space within the geek community.
